Dyvo Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Dyvo is an iOS app for logging scuba dives. We collect the minimum needed to run the app.
What we store on your device and in your iCloud private database
Your dives (site, depth, time, conditions, notes), photos, and a reference to your Apple ID for Sign in with Apple. This data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud database — we don't run our own servers and can't read it.
What's visible to others
Your profile (handle, display name, certification, bio, photo) is stored in a shared CloudKit database and is visible to people you share your profile link with; buddy connections are also stored there. Dives you've explicitly toggled "Share with buddies" are shared through Apple's CloudKit sharing — only buddies you've accepted can read them, enforced by iCloud's servers. You can stop sharing any dive at any time from its detail screen, and removing a buddy revokes their access immediately.
What we collect about app usage
Apple's MetricKit framework sends crash reports and performance metrics to Apple. We see aggregated reports in Apple's tools; we do not run third-party analytics, do not track you, and do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Account deletion
In the app, Profile → Delete Account erases your public profile, friendships, shared dives, and local storage.
