Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to Dyvo
Dyvo is a scuba dive logbook and planning app. By using Dyvo you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
You sign in with your Apple ID and must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Dyvo. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which removes your public profile, buddy connections, and shared dives.
Your content
Your dive logs, photos, and notes belong to you. Dives stay private on your device and in your personal iCloud unless you explicitly share them. When you share dives or your profile, you give us permission to store and show that content to the buddies you've chosen, which is how the app works. Stop sharing a dive, remove a buddy, or delete your account and that access ends.
Dyvo Pro subscriptions
Dyvo is free to use as a complete dive logbook, with unlimited dive entries. Dyvo Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks dive planning and site conditions, unlimited logbook import, advanced statistics, and other extras described on the upgrade screen in the app.
- Products. Dyvo Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime unlock. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment. Purchases are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage your subscription or turn off auto-renewal in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is generally once per Apple Account.
- Lifetime unlock. The lifetime product is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not renew. It unlocks Dyvo Pro features for as long as the app is available.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple, not to us.
- Your data is never held hostage. If a subscription lapses, everything you created stays yours and stays accessible: your dives, photos, imported dives, badges, gear and certification cards. Paid features stop; your data does not. You can export your full logbook as a CSV file at any time, free, from Profile → Export Logbook.
- Changes. We may change what Dyvo Pro includes or what it costs. Price changes to an existing subscription are handled through Apple, which will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before the new price takes effect.
Community rules — zero tolerance
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Dyvo. Don't use your profile, photos, bio, or dive content to harass, threaten, impersonate, or demean anyone, and don't post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights. You can report any user from their profile and block them at any time; blocking hides them from you immediately. We review reports promptly — typically within 24 hours — and will remove content and terminate accounts that break these rules, without prior notice.
Buddies and sharing
Buddy connections require both sides to agree: you share your profile link, they send a request, you accept. Only share your profile link with people you actually want to see your shared dives. Your profile details (name, photo, bio, certification) are visible to anyone you give your link to.
Dive safety
Dyvo is a logbook, not a dive-planning or life-support tool. Nothing in the app is training, decompression, or safety advice. The site conditions and divability forecasts in the app are estimates derived from third-party weather and marine data; they are advisory only, can be wrong or unavailable, and are never a substitute for official marine forecasts, local knowledge, or your own judgement. Always plan and conduct dives according to your training and certification, use a dive computer or tables, and dive within your limits. You are solely responsible for your diving.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer Dyvo's services or other users' data, and don't use the app for anything unlawful.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, particularly the community rules. You may stop using Dyvo at any time and delete your account in the app.
Disclaimer and liability
Dyvo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or anything that happens on a dive.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, the app will ask you to review and accept the new version before continuing.
